After reading all these responses, it doesn't seem so plug in and go....Iwould love to try to hatch one days, but hearing all the variables makes me nervous!

I bought 3 of them. Two with auto-turners and one for lock down. They are plug and go for me. Temp stays steady and perfect. I fill up tray #1 for incubation and both trays for lockdown and my humidity levels stay exactly where I want them. Hatch rate is great! Have tons of little chicks running around.
