-We begin the day before the barrier. People are happy, getting ready for Summer, vacation is just around the corner. And strange things are happening...-​

Avis turned a cartwheel on the mat, landing on her back and knocking the wind out of herself, she began laughing as soon as she had enough breath.

Gideon was warming up in the small boxing ring. This was his favorite pastime.

"JULIA!" Cass called as she ran to her friend, "I-*pant*-wanted to-*pant pant*-ask you- *pant*-something-*pant*."

"Woah. Slow down. What is it?" Julia said as her friend ran up to her out of breath.

"Well- ever since we moved to America and business has been doing so well, we've been going to Ireland every other Summer. And Mom and Dad are okay with it, so- doyouwanttocometoIrelandwithus?"

"Woah! Say that last part again." She laughed.

Cass took a deep breath, "Do you want to come to Ireland with us?"

Julia's jaw dropped. "Your kidding, right? OF COURSE I WANT TO GO!! Going to Ireland with my BFF! That's awesome!" She said excitedly, her eyes sparkling happily. "I don't really have anything better to do." She smiled brightly.

"Yes!" Cass cried, thrusting her fist into the air, "C'mon, I've got call them!" she grabbed Julia's hand and half-ran, half-happy-danced to their dorm room.

Julia skipped happily next to her. She wanted to scream, she was so exited. She was going to spend her summer vacation with her best friend in Ireland! How cool was that?! "I'm sooooooooooooooo exited! This year, I'll finally have something to do over summer vacation!"

Cass put the phone on speaker, "Hello?"

"Hi Mom!" she said, "Julia said yes!!!"

"That's wonderful! We'll get another plane ticket."
