James knew something was wrong the minute he heard kids were running to the lab. Whatever was going on he was pretty sure had something to do with his recently enhanced sight. He'd noticed a couple of days ago on the whale watch when he found little use for his pair of binoculars, he was easily saw things well into the horizon; and not just whales, he'd also seen flocks of seabirds well outside the range of the naked eye.

He needed to think and there was one place where it'd be easiest for him. The Otter Cliffs were often tourist filled, but James liked being so high and so close to the sea. He had gone there ever since they'd moved two years ago.

As he had dreaded several families had already arrived; it was mid-day after all. Skirting around a picnicking family James was to lost in thought to notice a cluster of small stones near the edge. The instant he stepped on them they gave, he slipped panicking for an instant he grasped at the rock face when a stone the size of a baseball struck him in the eye. James yelped in pain and began a hundred foot descent to the horror of onlooking tourists.
