Genetics of Bobwhite and coturnix quail

Hi,

I would like to gather as much information as possible on the genetics of quail colors.

For instance in the bobwhite there is a color called "barred". How does it inherit when crossed to the other colors.
I know quail people are not into crossing their birds like us chicken fanciers but I may be wrong.

In japanese quail (Coturnix) what do you get when you cross silvers and goldens?

Any information welcome about any color...

for silver genetics you'll more than likely want to visit the one quail forum that I can't think of the website addy of right now. Here in the US silvers *that I know of* aren't even here yet. So many of us here won't have a clue more than likely lol. However, there is a breeder on here from that forum but I can't think of her screen name at this second...but she has silvers (she's from on the otherside of the pond that's why she has them) so she'd probably be able to help you hopefully she sees this post.
