Genetics of German Pastel Quail?

Hi there,

I’ve tried finding info online but to no luck. I was wondering if anybody knew the genetics behind the German pastel quail. I have 2-3 of them and wanted to know what genes on what make them this color.

Is it similar to lavender in chickens where it’s recessive but needs to be over black in order to show?

I am from Germany and we do not know german pastell. I posted this in another thread already.

As far as I saw the pics on MyShire, it seems that they are experimenting to cross Silver, Roux and maybe also Cinnamon and Rust together. Maybe more, perhapst also the Dilute Factor.

But this is guessing.
I can't tell you for sure.
