I get that, but they eat other things.I encourage everyone to beef up their coops and runs with galvanized steel hardware cloth if you're going to be raising chickens for years. The peace of mind it brings is priceless.(its also cheaper than automatic feeders and other methods of getting rid of rats)
My new coop is going to be nothing BUT wire and metal LOL.
But I imagine that rats and mice will still come around. This just seems like either overkill or a gimmick.
I could see how it could do really well, but it seems unnecessarily complicated. Idk.
