Our German Sheperd has about 6 of these pimple looking things under his chin. Anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm not sure what it is. My DH tried to pop a few and got Pus and Oil? I don't know what I should do?

It may be a plastic allergy. That happened with mine. Dogs are often allergic to plastic. Could also be food allergy. Have you tried a different food? I wouldn't pop them.

yep, I started him on a new food last month. also, last week I gave him a big ham bone. I wonder if the bone could have caused it?

this area is black, right under his chin. Theres about 6 of them in a row of 2

I was told by a vet that sometimes dogs can get acne just like people, usually on their chin. Really don't know if this is right or not.

I know its red and looks painful. I don't know if I should take him to the vet or not? He doesn't act like its bothering him

Diesel used to get them. You kind of see them in this picture:

I figured it was just doggy acne, and it never seemed to bother him. It cleared up with no real intervention on my part, must've outgrew it

Okay, this is going to sound weird...as if you'd expect anything different from the Grits.

Wash the dogs mouth off after he eats, preferably with a little ivory soap and water. Rinse. They should clear up.
Don't ask me how I know this.
