Hello. Long-time reader, now new member.
Learned so much from the posts over the last year or so.

No BYC allowed in my village as of today. 4 birds if on 2 acre lot. I have done a ton of research, including what surrounding towns allow or don’t allow. Most allow BYC in urban setting, but a few do not.

Anyone here in Germantown Wisconsin? My issue is not having local peers. Seems Gtown has minimal requests to house poultry and minimal issues with illegal poultry keeping. I am trying to minimize the hornets nest I stir, whilst achieving a fair code language revision to accommodate BYC in a controlled fashion. Would be great to have a few locals to lean on.

Vote out the council members and replace with normal people. I know it is easier said than done. Sometimes you have to wait until they cross over to the other side. Government jobs are GRAVY JOBS, so they stay on forever.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome

I’m from G-town and also dream about BYC but I’m on RS-3. You have my vote if you get it moving.

Good luck.
I have German, and WI in my background. I had a relative who came from Berlin, then moved to Minnesota. Then moved to WI. ( Relatives told me this story.) I had one of those DNA tests done. My daughter is listed as 39% German, and the location in Germany they say she is from Berlin.

Hello! New member here. I live in Germantown and have been trying to convince my husband to entertain the idea of raising chickens in our backyard. I've been compiling chicken coop designs on Pinterest for years! :D I guess I should have checked our local ordinances first. We have 1 acre - wonder if they would let us have 2 chickens? If you ever go before the board, I'll go to support you! ~ Mary

I'm looking at a home in Germantown. I searched the municipal code for "rules about chickens", "raising chickens:, & "keeping chickens" but found nothing more relevant than locations with chicken dinners.
Where are you finding your information on keeping chickens at?

You can look and see that the OP jumped ship and has not replied, or even viewed anything since November 2021.
You may have to visit City hall, and ask in person. :idunno
