So when my family were persuading me to allow my daughter to have ducks one of the reasons they have was they would remove the bug pests in the garden and leave the plants and veggies unhurt .......that was a lie! Within 4 minutes of being out today these adorable bundles of joy demolished my courgettes after I managed to protect them from the savage raptors!
The video is much more cute but I don't want to upload to YouTube :(
Do all poultry love courgette or are none of my vegetables safe from them?

Well this is the little terrors at work....

I found them like this after asking husband to watch them....although I will give a break as he was building the Duck Den for them. He built a staircase after work and then pea shingled it because he was worried they wouldn't like the shallow steps. From what I've seen they don't care, if they want to get somewhere they just throw themselves up it, down it or over it! 🤣

It'll be fun they said. It is fun, mostly, but when they are growing they are bottomless pits that eat everything in sight. They are great at pest removal and fertilizing, but they still know food is food. So may be best to barricade the remaining produce from them. What breed are they? I currently have 2 adult runners who are quite tame in the garden butI've also had silver appleyards, cayugas, muscovies and pekins. The last two breeds are bottomless pits for life.

He's got a knack for this building stuff!

Yes, zucchini we've had tons off the plant already so I won't complain too much but they are too adorable to be mad at that's for sure.

They are runners and that makes sense because they literally dive at me when they think I've got something to eat 🤣
