I have made a commitment to eat clean whenever possible, and try to incorporate a higher plant intake, along with increasing exercise & being less sedentary. I am looking for a support group of people making similar choices! I don’t want to hop on the scale every day and feel that discouraging feeling. Rather, I hope I will begin to notice things like my pants not as tight, and having more energy!

Would anyone like to join me? We can share tips, support one another, and ask questions here!

Here is what I did today. I meal prepped 4 lunches and 3 breakfasts. I will eat the lunches today theough Wed, and make another 3 lunches and 2 breakfasts after work on Wed.
I have decided on:
Salad with protein (fish or chicken), and a piece of fruit for lunch with homemade dressing to reduce sugar and preservatives.
Berries and plain Greek yogurt for breakfast.
For dinner, I will be a bit more flexible, but limit myself to only one plate.
Dessert only on Saturdays.
I hope this gives me a little flexibility so I don’t feel like I’m “missing” anything, and my breakfast and lunch are convenient to grab so no chance of excuses.
Here’s what I did:

My chickens will get the veggie scraps in the bowl. The extra prepped veggies can be a quick snack if I get hungry or given to the kids if they are.

This is what I’ll make my dressing out of.

Will let you know how it goes!

Very good! 👍 This is such a wonderful idea! I wish you luck.

We've always tried to eat healthier, but need to start eating more veggies.
Thanks for the well wishes! It’s soooo hard to get started, and I can’t find anyone in real life who will be a support partner!

Maybe to get more veggies in your meals, just make a list of 2 or 3 to prepare doubles of, and spread them so you have one every day! ❤️

I'd love to follow along! I've been on Paleo/Whole30 for the last 6 months now, its been very rewarding! Sounds to me like Paleo is kind of along the same lines as what your doing, it also discourages using the scale.
I'm always trying to add more plants to my diet. I eat a lot of veggies, but I want to eat more vegetarian, like one vegetarian meal a day. For the environment, and variety in my diet.
Anyone have any good recipes they love? I have a ton of Paleo recipes I am very attached too. :D

Yay! Thanks for joining! I would love to hear some of your easiest paleo recipes!

We make sautéed greens about once a week and they are so delicious! Start with cooking onion, garlic, peppers, and mushrooms until they are tender. Then top with kale (or chard, or collards), and sprinkle whatever spices on top…for spicy we add crushed red or cayenne. You can add any meat or legume (I know with paleo you wouldn’t do the beans), and then simmer until soft. Put on top of eggs or chicken and they are so good!

Yum! I do a similar recipe with carrots, broccoli, celery, or whatever veggies we have on hand. Saute', then add water and steam until the water cooks off. I also add sausage, usually cook that first. Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast, salt, its one of my go to's.

I also love Egg Roll in a Bowl- https://wholenewmom.com/egg-roll-in-a-bowl/
I do a ton of soups to-
