I have 7 silkies here, each is pictured with a close up (as close as I can get it without being blurry!) And a little further away, I don't have pics of them standing. They are too fast! They have little tags (all but one) to help identify them. Let me know what you think!

Chick 1 is a rooster, chick 2 looks like a possible rooster, but might have to wait on that one. Chick 3 is a hen, chick 4 is a hen, chick 5 is a hen, chick 6 is a hen, and chick 7 is a hen.

Thank you so much! Just out of curiosity, if #1&2 look a little roosterish, I see some of the same in #3 (wide comb) am I way off? I can see what you mean about all the others and I am happy that most look like hens!

I see what you mean. Chick 3 might be a possible rooster, but can't say for sure yet. Silkies are much harder to sex. Your birds are so beautiful!

OK posted awhile back but got new pics of the cotton balls. 10 weeks and a few days old now.

I got this little silkie a month or so ago from someone who did not know how old S/he was at the time. Any thoughts on age or gender? The boy is an average-size 6-year-old, for size reference on the chicken.
