They look different every day all of them I stare to get the fish for or feathers rather on their head sticking straight up

That's what my 8 week old looks like but a smoother comb. What is a tell tell sign for rooster? Most everything I read says you normally have to wait until it crows or lays an egg.

I can tell by comb, wattles. Females normally have a puff ball on their head males have a mohawk

That's funny, I called ours Mohawk warrior last week. I haven't noticed any waddles on mine but I'll go check again because roosters no matter how cute they are are not allowed here in the city
