Well.. I have a nice coop down at my barn, but my barn is quite a ways down through the yard and i'm really not excited about the thought of trudging all the way down there in the winter when the snow is so deep to feed and water. I cheated a lil and went n ordered one of the partially prebuilt ones from a website.My barn is very old and drafty with so many cracks n crevaces that it's nearly imposible to make predator proof.So i'm starting out with a nice new tight coop that will house 8+ ckickens. I'll build my own run as the ones that sell with the coops are just way to pricey imo. Anyways, I've been tracking the shipment and my new coop should be here soon so I can get it set up and all ready for the lil uns. Can't hardly wait ! :)
 
Update.. coop arrived several days ago but is still in boxes on my front porch. Been wayyy to cold fer this ol roo to be outside building anything ! Found a place to order 4 week old pullets so I canceled my original order and have 2 BR,2 RIR, and 2 BAus coming the first week of April.I know... they're kinda pricey but I hate waiting..lol... this way I should be getting eggs by end of summer. Would like to find a breeder near where I could get a young roo of one of those breeds. n.w. PA bout 40 mi. south of Lake Erie :)
