getting a hen to go broody

so one of my hens went broody and that night some thing got her we think it was a dog we found some prints in the sad ive moved the laying boxs in there coop i want one of my hens to go brood i want only 3 eggs to hatch should i do more them that i know you can NOTmake a hen go brood but what can i do to help her i know it is getting coldout side will that hurt them i have a heating lamp

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. You had a broody hen that was killed? You still have the eggs? Have you been keeping them warm - between 99-100*? I seriously doubt that you will have another hen go broody. If you think those eggs are still viable (I'd candle and look for movement of some kind), I would suggest getting an incubator ASAP. I'd say that's about your only chance.
