Getting a little discouraged :(

Are you getting extemely warm weather right now? I had a broody hen that was sitting on a mix of duck and chicken eggs that was getting off the nest for extended periods of time when we had some very hot humid weather. Her eggs started hatching last Thursday and continued into Friday. She hatched all 6 duck eggs and 2 out of 3 chicken eggs. I broke open the unhatched chicken egg and it had no development. Based on these results, I wouldn't give up yet.

We haven't had too warm of temps here....in the 70s

What's the float test? I'm new to this, and so is she. This is her first year laying
Kevin beat me to it.

I'm such a worry wart!

They don't pip until the almost very end of the incubation process.

Not yet. When do they usually pip? If I calculated right they are due to hatch until June 29th so they have 2 1/2 weeks still
So excited for you, can't wait to see the little ones..

it's very hard for us to let the mamas do what is instilled in them, but they know best so try to relax, saying that right after I had to help a little duckling hatch after trying for 4 days on it's own.
