Hope you have good luck. This one is a super good boy. He starts talking as soon as he see me. We had bad luck with the first one as he attacked my wife numerous times. This one just wants to be talked to and petted.Well he's beautiful!

That's a great plan. I have 2 separate coops. My bantam free range in the same area as the big breeds. The bigs occasionally chase my little bantams, and occasionally a young big rooster will try to catch a hen. Thankfully my bantam have a run they can retreat to that the big ones can't fit through the door.Ok thank you so much! I've been thinking and decided on a design for an awesome little bantam coop for my littles attached to my big coop. I want to keep them safe and I'm also getting a silkie and a d'uccle in the spring (gifts for my daughters) so I think I'll go ahead and add that on to keep everyone safe and happy. Also that way my kids can get in there and hang out with the bantams (as they're the pets anyway) and I won't have to worry about the roo hurting my lil girls. WIN WIN!
Congrats on getting a rooster! I agree completely with the advice the others gave you.
A little while ago I really wanted a permanent rooster but their reputation caused some hesitation for me. In July I got a dozen chicks with 4 girls so I had a lot of boys and they were the sweetest things. Obviously 8 roosters is WAY too many so I got rid of 7 because I hatched a rooster already and bought one.
They at the sweetest little guys! I wish that people knew how friendly most of them actually are.![]()
