I have been reading byc and it is very helpful but i just read and saw pics of all the bumble foot and surgerys.

seems like there is a lot of bumble foot out there. does any one in northern ohio know any chick vets?

AWESOME to have you as a member of the backyard chicken community! I take it your wife is getting use to the idea? If you raise them from chicks, they are very friendly and become pets!

Heh, nope, don't know any vets anymore who deal with chickens, and I live in NE Ohio! Bumblefoot isn't THAT common. Really if you think about the thousands of people who are members of BYC, a few cases, or even a dozen or more a year posted about aren't all that much.

All the people NOT posting, and NOT having any trouble way outnumber those who do.
