My husband and I have new baby chicks. Most are almost 2 weeks old, a few are 3 weeks.
They are still in the brooder right now but when it was warm a few days ago we let them run around inside the coop with our 6 week old RIR's, 2 bantams, and turkey. They pick on them and won't let them near the feed so the only chance they had to eat was when the others went out around the yard.
Is there a GOOD way to introduce our babies to their new brothers and sisters?
They are back in the brooder for the night and will be a few more days as it's a bit chilly but we are looking for a better way to re-introduce them into the flock. We didn't think we would have much trouble because they are not far apart in age, but we were wrong!
The smallest bantam is actually the biggest problem!
