Just curious for all of you who have more than one rooster!! We have one handsome EE roo in our big coop with 10 hens and we are getting another roo and 4 hens in a separate coop. They will not be hanging out together, one group will free range at a time.

Will they be trying to outcrow each other?? What's it like with more than one rooster, are they a lot louder? I'm picturing early morning crowing competitions. lol

P.S I'm really excited for the new arrivals

They will definitely crow back and forth.....sort of like answering eachother........I love the sound of a rooster in the morning!

I do too, my roo has the funniest crow, it sounds like he is wheezing at the end. I gotta say his crowing has never once woke us up and our neighbours say the same. In fact, our neighbour had no idea we had chickens and thought someone way down the road may have gotten some- cant be that loud, hey?

I would have to agree with almost all of the other posts. I own 2 silkie roosters and they crow opposite each other, as if to answer the first. The part i love about it is that one has a smoother crow than the other.
