Getting back into chickens

Getting back into chickensd after a move to a new location. Starting with 16 chicks of various breeds. I like good egg layers and the wife is more into the pretty birds. So mostly our flock is pretty birds that happen to lay eggs. The new property has an old coop in disrepair that we are working on to make it a nice home for our flock. We are retired and love working outdoors. Lots to do on this property to get is ship shape!
