Hi,

Relatively new to this group.
I have kept chickens for a few years before; I missed having them so I'm starting again.

At the moment I have 3 Americaunas and 8 Welsummers. I am posting photos of the chicks as they develop in an album. The difference in development between the Americaunas and Welsummers in less than four weeks is amazing.

I am also now incubating 23 Buckeye eggs. Updates will definitely follow.

I appreciate all the great information available on this site and the personal help I have gotten in starting with eggs.

The pics, so far, are posted to an online album here somewhere.... When we get over a month I'll try posting them as a thread.
When/if my Buckeyes hatch, I will do the same with them.

It amazed me how much faster the Americaunas are growing, feathering and maturing. Do you think that's because they are hybrids?

Hey southeastern Ohio, from southwestern PA (almost south central).
Maybe we will get to talk about Buckeyes in a month or so.
