Hey folks,

so i finally finished my run and brought the 1 month old birds out of their tupperware bin into the new coop ! Well, I put them up their and waited for them to come down, which they hesitantly did ! :)

That evenin, they didn’t know to climb up their ladder to go back into the roost. I finally picked them up and put them in there. They came down in the morning to play, eat drink whatever, but tonight same thing. They’re all huddled below the roosting area in the corner of the coop, not sure what the best thing to do, I think I can post a pic of coop and alsp the coop in the run, any help would be gtreatly appreciated. I understand this is there new unfamiliar home, but not sure what the best approach should be.
Thanks in advance,

Leo

Ramp might be a little bit steep, so try putting a cinder block under the end to reduce the angle of it. You'll also need to train them to use the ramp, maybe by using treats to lure them onto it, or just by putting them on it and letting them try it out.

Coop might be too dark and stuffy inside for their liking (is that little window the only window?) so you'd need to add more windows/vents, or there are more vents and you just need light only, a stick-on battery light should work to help them navigate inside at dusk, and then you can turn it off once they're in.

Thank you so much. I had decided to close off the bottom left section where they huddled after dark. Sure enough, last night I went out there and the managed to climb up and they were all in the roost!!
