Reduce your daily feed. With the height of summer and bugs, they do not need near as much feed as they do in the cold of winter. In fact I usually feed mine about 4:00. By that time they are a bit tired of chasing their feed, and want some easy eating and will come running, but not always in.
I have also used a broom handle to extend my arm, tap the ground and say 'hut, hut" just moving enough that they move away from me, toward the run. If one moves to go past you, tap the stick directly in front of them, but as long as they are moving in the right direction stand still. when they stop, tap the ground again, say hut, and move just enough to get them to move away from you. Pretty soon, the pressure of you behind them, and the attraction of the feed in front of them, and they will be in.
