Glad you're getting some little ones!!! I got my order from Welp last Wednesday morning. I did not open them at the post office, because the man handed them to me out the back door at 6:00am in the dark. I waited until I got home and found one was DOA. I had 48 hours to call the hatchery to report it. Left a message on Friday late morning (after 48 hrs). Played phone tag and finally reached the woman on Monday. She asked how many live birds I had at that time, not at delivery or at 48 hours, which was interesting to me. I only lost the one, so they credited my card. No problems at all.

I also mentioned that the chicks I identified as blue laced red wyandottes did not appear to be that breed. She contacted a supervisor, they did research while I waited and told me it was common to have buff colored chicks. She also said that in a few months if it was clear that they were not BLRW, let her know and they would make it right. I guess we'll see!
