getting down to 36*

Si i have a silkie and frizzel silkei that are completly feathered in but around 4-6 weeks old. Should i put them under heat lamp for the night? I have a pen with one on but these are in another coop. They were in the heat lamp pen as of yesterday. SIGH...........what to do since i know silkies get cold

Yea, if it's that cold, you still need some heat for them at that age.

ok, got them in but left the splash since it is larger, older and sleeping on perch with 6 other birds. The silkies just looked cold...LOL

We're from up there, too! We lived in Drexel Hill for 2 years (then up to Maine & back to home-town Chicago). I loved it up there...but, probably like you, I don't miss the huge storms that make life so difficult.

Life is easy here in Florida.

..but we're outa' here just as soon as we can (heading to the mountains of N.C.)!
