I am so excited! I got my first two eggs on Monday! It just so happened to be their 19 week birthday too! My only problem is I am now getting squirmish about eating them. IDK why??[IMG] Just thought I would share.

Congrats on your first eggs! I was a bit weirded out by it, too, especially knowing which chicken laid which egg. Now....not so much! I love them!!! Enjoy!! [IMG]

Quote:I was the same way with my girls first ones, it takes a bit if gettng over "I know whose butt this came out of" to be able to eat them. Once you try them, store bought eggs will seem bland and yucky.

Congrats Cathy. We are the same way here.. squirmish.

Start by baking with them. Or maybe scramble them and add onions and cheese... slowly work up to fried!

I was thinking of starting out with them in baking or in my pancakes or something like that. My DH does not understand why I would rather eat an egg from someone whose butt I do not know!!

Congrats on your first eggs. We only used our first eggs in casseroles and for baking. Not sure why, but we are eating them now.
