I bought a bunch of bantams almost three weeks ago. I assume this little one is an OEGB, but it won't grow! It has grown in wrong feathers and is feathering similarly to the others it's age, but it isn't getting any bigger. The more hyper the others got, the more this little one got stepped on and stood on. I have been giving him strong doses of nutri drench. Two or three times daily.
I made a nutri-drench and chick starter mash last night and she did eat/drink some, but not a lot.
I did finally see her eating at the feeder this morning. It's the first I have seen her eat other than last night's mash.
I moved her to the brooder with chicks that arrived at TSC last Thursday, so, about a week old. They are bigger than she is also.
She is hanging on, but I feel like I'm the only thing keeping her alive. She isn't energetic, but she will go get water. She snuggles in, but sometimes still gets stepped on, even with the new babies. She doesn't look like she preens. I don't know what else to do.
Any ideas, or should I end her possible misery?
