Getting Goat kids

Pics
Hi. We have goats..al great questions..there is awesome forum for everything goats called goatspot. I don’t ha that fainting so I don’t know if your crosses will do that..your boy, is now called a wethers. Depends on what type of wormer you got..I go with Molly’s Herbs and there is a two part. There’s always paperwork included. They don’t drink a ton..but I keep lots of fresh water out...never empty. We have three..two does and a buck. We get our free minerals at tractor supply..it’s in the cattle section...you keep it out all the time but somewhere it won’t get damp..they are picky..very picky..won’t eat hay once it’s hit the ground..but if I pick it up and they don’t know..they’ll eat it sometimes..anyways..I’m wayyy new at goats but learning fast..you have to, and it’s a ball..go to goatspot and they’ll hep you with everything
Yeah, I meant loose minerals..not sure if kids need more cooper I know they need more calcium...if you stick to a good pellet...

Awesome ideas for playing on..:woot
Okay well I'll definitely be keeping you informed about the mineral and soda intake when needed. How much goat food a day? Hay 24/7 right?
Everyone will tell you it depends on your goat for the pellets..it will drive you crazy if you’re anything like me..there’s a body scale out there..just google goat body scale and it will show you how they should look..we rescued ours from a farmer who was sent to jail..same place we got some chickens..but the goats were underfed and a 2 on the scale. Now they are a perfect 3. But they’ll always act like they’re starving until you change feed..lol..they are picky...

Ewow lucky you got them when you did.

Yes, hay should be almost all of what they eat, then pasture, then, feed, them minerals..everyone will tell you that goats hate Timothy hay..well...yes, alfalfa is what is best..but we live on a 35 acre Timothy hay farm..and our goats love it...
Well I have horses so I buy grass hay. It has a little bit of Timothy and alfalfa although mostly grasses.

Good to hear they're doing well~ :D How's the doe warming up to you?
She is scared but definitely wants to be friends with us.
I can pet her nose and face but she doesn't trust me too much yet. The little guy I can pick him up and hold him. He is a very sweet kid. :hugs
