Getting Goat kids

Pics
I'm getting a bit concerned that Fancy might of gotten bred before she came here..
She looks like a pregnant dog with a low slung belly..:hmm
In the pictures I received of the kids Two Bucks were in with the herd.
Jeepers I'm definitely hoping she isn't going to kid. :fl
That would mean February babies..:hit

I have a question :frow

My feed lot said to keep my kids on the kid feed still. It's 18% starter/Grower.
I only feed it to them in the morning and only a man sized handful each.
What age do I switch them over to adult goat food?
They get free choice hay 24/7 and once a day out in the pen to eat things they find.

Goats don't technically fill out until 2 years of age. That's when they are considered adults.

I don't think it matters which ration you feed. I don't know what the difference is. May be read the tag? Is one lower protein, lower fat perhaps?

I feed mine a touch of sweet 16 in the winter. They don't care. I think it matters more if you are feeding dairy goats or pregnant goats.

Oh...:idunno
I definitely don't know what I'm doing..

I would keep them on the kid stuff until next spring, than switch to the adult if you wanna keep feeding it. Generally I stop rations during the warmer months otherwise they keep screaming all summer when they see me. In the winter I'm in the house more so I can't hear all the complaints. :D

I only feed a smaller amount during winter to mine because our hay is often a bit tough because it never stops raining early enough to get it off earlier. If I could just feed the second cutting they wouldn't need anything extra here.
