Getting Goat kids

My kids so far are doing good in the pen I have as a barn/ pen although I think they are getting cabin fever locked up out of the yard and terrible deep snow etc.
Today I'll cut branches off the pine trees to keep them busy. Way too cold to bring out on a walk today..

I haven't been getting my alerts for some reason! Mine are crazy and I love the snow. Virginia's weather is crazy right now. It snowed last Tuesday and it was 72° yesterday and the day before and calling for snow Again this weekend. After a week of rain. Virginia is a state where you can enjoy all four seasons in just one week

My crew couldn't be happier than to see the snow again. For some reason when they hit the snow they get all excited running jumping. Luckily it never gets so cold here that I can't let them outside. I know boer goats can handle temperatures that are pretty pretty cold as long as they end up having a dry somewhat warmer shelter to go into. I'm sure that does change the smaller they get

We actually have snow or our excuse for it snain so snow mixed rain slush
suppose to have more tonight birds do not want out we might be at freezing but BF thinks it is a tad warmer fire going in the trash burner the dogs had a ball 8 year old lab was like a pup in it

Last night I filled the Ducks house in straw and 3 flew the coop and landed in deep snow. All night I didn't sleep properly thinking I miscounted my Ducks I had in the pen..

I always hope for anything but snow. I'm not real fond of cold weather either but seeing a chance of snow means a 12 to 14 hour overnight shift for me.

But the goats they love the snow. And my border collie loves running through the snow. Poor thing gets icicles stuck on her Furrer on her feet. My other dog is much older and would prefer not to have to walk in the snow to P
