Getting Goat kids

WV- they are adorable!!

We just finished our fence posts for goats, so we are getting closer to actually getting them. I am a little over whelmed with their upkeep compared to chickens, but this thread is certainly helping!
Oh my gosh....they are VERY ..umm, not to scare you, but, yes...complicated. There are many websites that have free printable pages for records...helps a ton. I have binders to keep track of everything. I found that when I had it on the computer, I forgot to do it...on the binder..it’s in front of me. But I’m 46...

I have to go out in an hour to let my kids outside to play. I need to redo my back fence because Fancy just jumps out so they don't go out into the pen anymore. I just take them out daily to run around and play in my yard. Definitely challenging and I absolutely love the silly kids. I honestly am glad Ozzy is okay.

I’m sure!! I’m guessing, after reading about him, that I’ll probably face the same challenge this coming year with our bigger buckling that was just born. But it’s good to know that they outgrow that phase. I have my new goats that I just bought still in a pen until I can introduce them to my others...but that won’t be until the kids are old enough to come outside. Plus, I need to be sure the new ones won’t run. I’ve only had one day to do the leash because it’s been sooo crazy busy with everything and the horrible weather. We got 5” more last night.

No most may say we are alright no snow just rain for 90 days
we have 2 and a 1/2 no rain right now going to put the silkie in their tractor
rare the get in in the rain
Alllll that rain...must get very sloppy. I hate when my pasture for the goats gets sloppy, and I just told my hubby I wanted it rotated. That was last week. He said..it’s going to snow like crazy...guess he was right...I drive him nuts.

Yep...Ozzy definitely was a goat learning kid. I'm so glad I was persistent and kept on contacting people with goats or I'd never of learned as much as I have. Ozzy is safe because I never gave up on him..❤️👍🐐
