well if you dont already know this they get very very loud. friend of mine got a flock just to make his neighber he didnt like move...it worked 2 monthes later that house was for sale

What age of keets are you getting? Certain ages require certain brooder temps (start at 95-90 degrees for day olds and lower 5 degrees for every week of age), and specific bedding materials are recommended depending on age (shavings can be deadly for young keets)... and of course everybody needs fresh water and high protein game bird, turkey or pheasant starter feed, around 27-28% protein is best.

If you have specific questions you should post them, or you can read thru all the past posts... there's lots of good input/info about raising keets available on this forum

LOL!

Yah, they can be loud... I personally like the sounds the GUineas make tho, and I take pleasure in the fact that it could be annoying my neighbors, hehe

Target practicing with my .45 is much louder tho (and keeps the neighbors off my land too!)

Well I'm going to a auction Saturday and they always sell big boxes (maybe 20) of guineas... and the keets are always pretty young like maybe a week ish. And our neighbors adore our chickens and there always complaining about how many bugs we have around here so I'm pretty sure they won't mind. The main thing I'm worried about is that my two closest neighbors are master gardeners, would guineas hurt their plants?

Thank you all

They are supposed to be very gentle around established plants.... But new sprouts will probably need to be protected.

Thanks they pretty well have most their plants fenced but I didn't know if the guineas would go out of their way to get to the plants cuz our chickens sure make a mess of things when they get loose
