getting malpositioned eggs. why?

I have a Nurture Right 360. I hatch silky eggs. the egg turned appears flat with no angle. My first few hatches were fine. all pipped on the air cell. Now I am getting a lot of pipping away from the air cell, in the middle of the egg. Why is this happening? What can I do to angle the eggs? If this is the issue. Is it because the eggs are smaller than regular eggs?

Sometimes it has to do with how big the chicks are. With Malays I had quite a few pip the pointy end. Not egg size.

most seem to get out okay. Some have been larger chicks. but does it have anything to do with the angle of the incubator? Weird how all was well and now its more common.

Not quite sure what you mean by incubator angle.

the floor of the incubator is flat. the turner turns the eggs. these smaller eggs lay flat, they are not angled at all. i have read that incubating eggs should be on an angle . maybe thats not true

Oh, you meant incubated upright with pointy end down.
I've incubated both ways, & chicks hatch normally, but occasionally will pip the wrong end, or middle instead of the fat end.

I've never heard of incubating eggs at a 45° angle.
