Like I have said, I am a first time hatcher and very nervous! I have two babies born and two pips in the bator. One of the pips doesn't look to good because a big piece of shell is off even though the membrane is still intact. Plus, the chick looks upsidedown? It was pushing like crazy this morning and now, I just hear an occasional peep but no progress at all. At what point should I help it? Someone please calm my nerves!!

Okay I did that. But the thing is, it doesn't seem like he's even trying anymore. One push and that membrane would be broken but hes just sitting there. I see him breathing and moving his beak but he won't push or break the shell anymore...Any ideas anyone???

Anyone know how to post pics on here? I can't figure it out and I want to post a pic of this chick so you all can see what I'm talking about. Thanks!

This is pretty much what it looks like. Not the best picture because you can't completely see all the membrane showing but you get the idea.

I honestly do not know exactly when it pipped. I'm thinking this morning? Also, the chick's head is on the narrow side of the egg....i think? That's what it looks like to me. And that definitely worries me. I am really getting worried about this guy
