I currently have a jap. Bantam at home since my roo was picking on her (he is now gone to a new home). I was told she has raised chicks before and I want to see if I can get her to take the new bantam chicks I have coming at the end of the month. How would be the best way of going about this? She JUST laid an egg, so I'm leaving it in there hoping she will go broody I guess. They are supposed to be here apund the 26th or so. Any advice?!
