getting ready for a craft show

Thanks Everyone, I'm not looking forward to allot of sales. I just don't think it's going to happen but you never know. That's a good idea about trading, I'm going to see about that. I still have eggs I want to do and haven't started yet. Eggs that would be around 10 or so. That way I have something that will sell!!!! LOL Oh well who knows. My sister is also going with me she makes pens out of wood that she turns on the lathe. She does a beautiful job so hopefully she will sell everything she brings with her. I'll let you all know on Sunday if I'm rich or not!!!!!! LOL

Well I sold 5 eggs. Better than I thought. But I sure spent allot on other things!!!!! Oh well, at least allot of people who didn't even know this kind of art exisisted now know it's out there.

I was wondering how you did at the craft fair. I'm glad you sold some.

I am donating 1-2 dozen of the eggs I've decorated to help raise money for our partner church in Mozambique. Our church is having a Mission Mart the first part of December. I was trying to decide what to sell them for-they aren't as detailed as yours, but they still take a lot of time to complete. I think people won't realize how much time goes into decorating them. Including 8 months of raising, taking care of and feeding the chickens who laid these eggs.

yes in the one picture that is an ostrich egg. What do the eggs look like that your going to be selling. I sell chicken eggs for 20 each.the chicken eggs aren't that involved, just simple designs, and I feel it's something that most people will pay. I sold a goose egg for 65 yesterday and she was happy with the egg and the price. So I felt good she didn't think she was paying too much. Most of my turkey egg ornaments are 25 depending on how involved they are they may be more and goose egg ornaments are from 35 and up. I don't really care if I sell my eggs, I want a certain price and I am not going to bring down my prices. Plus if you bring down your price it shows you don't think that much of your art and it's well worth what I charge. So don't be afraid to put the price you think they are worth, your time is worth it.
