getting ready for chicks, I hope

We have about a week until the fertilized eggs we put under our broody girls are due to hatch. So far out of the 12 we started with, we're down to 8. We're new to this and are planning on letting the hens raise the chicks. Any advice to us newbies? Right now the 2 hens are in an old dog kennel and separated from the rest of our flock.

You might want to head over to the incubating board. There's quite a few hatching under broodys right now.
