Getting ready to start a new flock

I had a flock a few years ago that I let run loose on my land (five acres) for a couple of years and I loved having chickens. My husband did NOT like them being free-range since it meant that we had chicken droppings on the porch. So this time I plan to convert my son's trampoline (15 ft diameter one) into a run for a few new ones.

I live in the triad of NC and love living out in the country. The best part is that I can have any animal I want for pets and for me chickens make a great choice.
