Good evening All,
I am getting ready to start a small (4-5 hens) backyard laying flock this spring. I grew up in small towns out west and had rabbits, but no chickens. I had several neighbors with backyard flocks. Well, now I’m on the East Coast, living in a rural/suburban town with a wife and four kids. My family and I are very much looking forward to our first chicks.
I have spent quite a bit of time perusing the forums and utilizing the search function. What a wealth of information here.
