We recently built a chicken tractor and got a couple hens. Since then our back yard has become a fly haven.

Does anyone have advice to safely keep the flies away????

I didn't check, but if its about the vanilla air freshners, they work even when WE can't smell them anymore. I have had some up for a month and still probably 10 flies in the whole barn. Wonderful tip!!!

Yep...it's Magic Tree Vanillaroma air fresheners. Hang 'em high and hang 'em low. Flies will be gone forever. Refresh them every couple of weeks with a spray from an aerosol can of the same stuff.

Absolutely amazing!!

I have an ark style coop too, and maybe I just didn't give those little trees enough chance????
I didn't have much luck- there isn't anywhere inside the coop to hang them that the chooks can't get to them, so I hung it off one of the handles and didn't notice any difference in the flies...

I have the dead body hanging stinky bags and they are getting old REAL quick. Sick of the smell, they look wretched, and they are expensive!!! Plus in my small yard, I almost think they bring MORE flies?!
Should I try again with the vanillaroma trees? How many should I use and where and what happens if they get wet? This happened to me- it was rainy for a while. The ark is over grass too- would it be better over sand? Does that attract less flies???
I HATE THEM!!!
