Getting rid of one of my roosters

Welcome to BYC. I have kept all of mine for the last few years. I really enjoy having a bachelors' flock. Its not for everyone but it has added a lot of enjoyment for me and its eased my anxiety about giving them to the wrong people.

It's always a bit disheartening if you have to rehome one of your flock. As the others mentioned, you could keep him in bachelors quarters and get him his own harem. Or if you choose to rehome, definitely do your research as to where he is going so he stays safe and alive.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

I have a few extra roosters from my buying hatching eggs and incubating this past summer that I have to part with too. I plan to pick the one(s) to keep for breeding, then will post the others on Craigslist and in my poultry groups on Facebook.

This I have done for several years. I sometimes get messaged back how my rooster fit in perfectly. You really could wind up having the rooster someone else really needs.

Hi! Nice to see you again! I still have trouble getting rid of any of my roosters, so I know what you are going through. Roosters won't really be sad about being the only (or close to only) rooster, even if they hang out together right now. I hope everything goes well!
