Getting some chickens - how best to integrate them?

As soon as I've got the accommodation finished, I will finally be getting my very first chickens!

Thing is though, I've got a rooster coming from a friend, and three 2 year old hens who live together currently from my local chicken shop.

What would be the best way to introduce the boy to his new girls?

Being its a new Coop to all of them...Put them all together that first day...No one has set claim to the Coop and run yet.....They will all be to nervous and will set a new pecking order....

Assuming the news birds you are getting are nearing maturity, then the cock bird will be in heaven - no need to worry about him and any additions to his harem.
