As far as food goes a grower for chickens should work fine for you, im assuming they are adult birds. For space I would recommend at least 20 square feet per bird if you do that you shouldnt have to use peepers or blinders. You dont ever want to use peepers or blinders unless you have to as they can get caught in the netting. Try to make sure your pen is predator proof. Iv never mixed those two types of pheasants together so I dont know how that will work for ya. Good luck.

Melanistics And Ringnecks Are The Same Speces=== Ringneck Pheasant. 2 Pair= 2 Males.... Fighting During Breeding Season And Even Beyond Can Be Severe If Not Fatal. I'd Recommend Housing The Pairs Seperately And Also They Often Times Dont Do Well In Pairs As The Males Can Be Verly Amorous... Overbreeding A Lone Hen, Even Breeding Or Harassing Her To Death, So Also Watch Closely For This Behavior. You Be Better Off Picking Just 1 Color Of Ringneck Speces And Instead Of Getting 2 Pair Get A Breeding Harem Or Group... 1 Cock And 3 Or 4 Hens, This Will Eliminate Seperate Housing And Overbreeding Making The Experience Overall More Enjoyable For You And Your Birds. If You Like Them And All Goes Well You Could Build A Seperate Pen And Add The Other Color Later?

Good advice and all very true. Also if you have 2 pens side by side, put a barrier in between at least 3 ft high so the males can't see each other. This will eliminate males going baack and forth at the wire trying to get each other while the hens aren't getting attention.
