I’ve a communal nest here lately. Ducks with a silly guinea laying in the same nest but that gal I see every morning sitting on the nest just won’t stay put! I can’t get chicks w/o some heat or a duck butt on that glob of eggs!
what can I do? If anything? ThxKC

I don't know, get an incubator? Or wait longer for her hormones to fully kick in. I don't keep ducks, but that has been my experience with chickens. They can sometimes take a while to fully go broody. If your duck isn't showing any signs of going broody (sitting on the nest for at least a couple hours per day), then I would get an incubator because she may not become so any time soon. Or, if you can't afford that, hope that she does!

How long has this been happening?

Broody's will build their clutch up for a week or so before they set, once they have plenty of eggs they will start nesting. You could buy a incubator.
