Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Perfect exchange!
Yes

The market is quite different.

I sold 5 RIR extra roos this fortnight at $30 each and have sold mixed 16 week roos for $18. Its a weird thing to have mutt roos almost too valuable to eat. LOL

I actually have a surplus of mixed roos that will be put in the freezer. We pulled 15 from a general gow out coop today as they are getting too grown up.

This is the first time I know exactly how many chickens we have in a long time - right down to the last chick. As the demand is so strong, I have to have spread sheets out in front of me frequently.

with those horns he will require lots of human interation to even get near him.If not, the pressure washer from 30 feet.

Our goats get "walked" twice a day as they are moved to their morning grazing spot. Our previous bucks were very well behaved.

Just out of curiosity, why the "Business end" shots of the bucks? I assume you have a reason you request those pics from your helpers.

when evaluating potential breeding sires in anmals it becomes necessary to evaluate physical attributes including reproductibe organs. one would not want to get an expensive animal home with bad conformtion, or lacking a testice.

you will find similar pics on swine sites.

there are many more experienced goat people than myself here that may comment. he wont be collected til saturday.

Nice thing of horns like that is that they function as handles
