Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Who would have thought that one of your readers would even think of doing something that?

someone with a passion lol

its all good.

5-6 eggs a day is great!

As balut eggs, they are pretty cheap but i will trade 4 chicks for all eggs in 6 days (30-36 eggs)

The gardener from Mandalagan house goes home to Kabankalan every Sat and I can get him to bring eggs home to the farm. We will bring your chicks in with the next order.

How does that sound. As you are local, I can give you less than the min of 8 we ship and even 1 week olds.

Oz what time the gardener goes home to Kabankalan on Saturday?

I must deliver the runner duck eggs on friday afternoon or saturday morning.

Do eggs secure in egg trays when transporting? I hope it will not affect the hatching rate of eggs.

And I am curious whats your plan with the ducklings? :)

The gardener leaves before lunch on Saturdays so Friday night would be great.the best way to carry eggs on a short trip is in an egg carton thats in a carton with crushed newspaper supporting it.

Eggs dont travel well - one of the reasons I refuse to sell hatching eggs but I understand the risks and thats why i am after 30+ eggs - so I will be happy with just a doz hatching.

The ducks have no commercial value to me in resale. I actually need products to offer my staff to discourage eating my valuable birds and their eggs, I have muscovies but a mallard derivative will increase a steady supply of both eggs and meat.
