Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Hopefully nothing stuck

she looks too comfortable

I'm waiting for my little piggy to pass a pendant he swallowed on Saturday

4 hours in the ER, X-ray showed it sitting in his stomach.. if that thing doesn't come out the other side by tomorrow morning, we're going back for another x-ray and who-knows-what.

The joys of taking an autistic non-verbal 3 year old child to the ER.. A child who had tubes put in and adenoidectomy 2 weeks ago (and vividly remembers doctors are evil). We've been dealing with middle of the night screaming in terror since.

In better news, can you believe ms. Amelia is 11 months old come Saturday?

Big brother will turn 7 the same week she turns 1.

It was chilly this morning, it's 80F now. Welcome to Alabama

Layers are a good thing. She's cruising about barefooted now and the jacket came off.

On the animal front, the muscovies have been giving me an egg a day for a week now (first time layers) and I managed to sell 5 3-month old cockerels for $40 yesterday

Less mouths to feed. Woo hoo.

Well that's a coincidence, my real name is Amelia, and my brother and I have birthdays a week apart :)
