Oz: I have about 60 lbs of oyster shells left from Thanksgiving. Im thinking of crushing them up. Wondering about the smell from the little bits of meat remaining in the shells. Do you do anything special with yours?

we spread them out in the sun for two to three weeks

that dries them and destroys bacteria

we use a lot of shells- almost 30 lbs in a feed batch for the layers and we collect around 10 sacks per month.the source is a little dubious so i would not get the birds to clean them - they are pretty ripe

A maiden doe had triplets overnight. I have been busy as one doeling is a little weak. she is getting fed from mamma and topped up with manna pro. my concern is the doe may not be able to produce enough milk though she is 50% nubian so it should work out.

baby goat is getting vit A&D, B complex injection as well as dextran iron.

the doe has a boy and 2 girls to end the all male curse. it stopped at 4 boys in a row.

i have been ill.

add to that its crunch time with school. i have 5 papers to turn in in the next 10 days
