Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Less than two weeks to go until I get to see my family.

Mrs Oz has had an amazing week in Bali. Tonight she will be in Bangkok before getting an early flight to Manila tomorrow.

Some of the scenes near Kuta - boats and boards

Sate Babi - Pork Satay Being Balinese Hindu the locals are proud of their pigs - the only place in Indonesia you can find them

Anak Agung Sagung Ratheinratni - AKA - Heiny, a real life Balinese Princess and a girl I lovingly call my sister is prearing Mrs Oz' Filipina friend for the day at the temples

The foreigners all ressed up at Tanah Lot temple - in the region of Tabanan and the home region of the Balinese Royal family that adopted me 28 years ago

My Balinese brother - passing out the offerings for the prayer ceremony (you should see me dressed up - I can even tie the head dress!!) at "our" family temple in Puri Alit (the small palace)

Many many years ago, the husband of Ibu (mother) pictured below with Mrs Oz, along with his 4 beautiful daughters and son met me on the top of a volcano in Java. I Gusti Ngurah Alit, the little prince of Penebel became an instant soul mate of mine and he informed me within minutes of us meeting that we were brothers in a past life but forever and a day, he would consider me his son. I have been a part of this amazing family ever since. Of course I could no longer chase my princess sisters lol.

Sunday was a not so good day at the beach.

Bernie went to bed on Saturday with a painful knee and had trouble sleeping. On Sunday morning its hot, but not red, swollen and cannot weight bear on it.

I am not an expert on knees, but joint injuries give me some concern. I told him to rest for the next three days with his knee elevated, take Ibuprofen 800mg every 8 hours with food and ice packs.

My resident advanced practice nurse is unavailable to consult so If its remotely hot on Monday, I will send him to a doctor.
