We dis some more moving around and seperated the Andalusians last night. I got an egg out of there today but will label it as mutt for 2 weeks

we have 60 chicks for the mission and another 90 eggs at various stages of incubation. That should be enough.

I decided to give the mutts a reprieve from the small white coop. Bernie is building a coop for the local birds amongst the mini hardwood forest and near the duck house. We will pen up the visayans, mutts, purebreds without breeding pairs and a few excess roos in the pen for 6 weeks then let them out as free rangers. Now the fence is near completion, we can risk having them out. All the local roos will be eaten and the landrace experiment will begin. I am going to need a dozen silkie broody machines.

they sure did. I suspect several had pipped much earlier but could not be seen. Hopefully 22-24 will hatch by morning
